A photograph can be an instant of life captured for eternity that will never cease looking back at you. - Brigitte Bardot

Last year at this event, we were impressed by how people prepared and really dressed up as medieval and/or fairy tale characters for 2 days of fun in a make-believe world at Guadalupe Park in San Jose, CA. This year, even more impressive with more attendees, more costumes and more food kiosks. We joined in the fun by dressing up our bundle of joy as a baby dragon - an idea we got from watching Game of Thrones and Merlin (tv shows).

April 15, 2012 at Guadalupe Park, San Jose CA.
A fun way to spend one fine sunny Saturday afternoon in the valley! The famous San Jose Fantasy festival is an annual event located downtown, at the park where fancy-winged fairies, shiny metal-clad knights, magical long-haired pirates, hauntingly wicked witches, busy hotdog kiosks and cold beer were waiting for spectators excitedly filling up the huge Guadalupe park space hoping frantically to be entertained that beautiful spring day. Clutching my telephoto lens, I was there to learn to take photographs of people on a bright sunlight. Knowing there will be lots of movement, I came armed with my newly-acquired "panning" technique knowledge. Luckily, I didn't even have to use it.
